What is Ulkox®
Ulkox® is a medical device based on Fucocert® (polysaccharide), glycerine, Olea europaea leaf extract, and Carbopol 980® presented as hydrogel in an aluminium tube.
Intended use
Ulkox® is intended for the healing of anal fissures.
How it works
Ulkox® components act synergistically by:
- moisturizing the wound
- providing a scavenging effect towards free radicals
- isolating and protecting the lesion
- mildly reducing the pH of the lesion
giving the product the ability to modulate the environment of the lesion and protect it, thus promoting and speeding up the healing process.
Who is Ulkox® for and how to use it
Ulkox® is intended to be used in children and adults.
It is a multidose product: the content of the same tube can be used for several applications on the same patient.
Ulkox® must be applied several times a day and can be used throughout the whole healing process.

Ulkox® is a medical device that holds MDR certification, Class IIb, issued by the NB CE 0476
No relevant side effects related to the use of Ulkox® have been reported in clinical studies.
Ulkox® is not a pharmacological treatment, but it can, however, be administered concomitantly with another treatment prescribed by a Healthcare Professional, if needed.
It can be used on lesions with clinical signs of infection, under a physician supervision.
