Publication of a retrospective, observational study on Gelatin tannate versus other antidiarrheal medication in children with acute gastroenteritis.

Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of gelatin tannate (GT) for acute gastroenteritis (AGE) in children.

Conclusion: This study adds to the evidence that GT, alone or in combination with ORS, can alleviate AGE-associated symptoms in children more effectively and more efficiently (quicker) than conventional treatment.

GT is marketed under the brand name Tasectan®

Tasectan® is a class III medical device and complies with the Essential Requirements of Directive 93/42/EEC and subsequent amendments (CE 0373, Noventure SL).
